Well, despite being scolded by a near-total stranger at the mall ("You need to go around once more! Your walking partner would have gone around again!"), I made five figures today, yippeee!!
It's surprising how much you can observe about people just from this kind of interaction. I'm sure he was well-intentioned, but it bugs me. There are a few other people that I am sort of getting to know, too - there's a pair of men that argue politics at the tops of their lungs the whole time they're walking. There's another pair of men that talk hockey the whole time. Wonder what they'll do for the two days between seasons. There's a woman who yaks nonstop about her grandchildren, and a couple who just walk way too fast to even talk. I get smiles and nods from most of these people now, and it's nice.
